The Best Gaming Notebook Money Can't Buy

Hình ảnh
I'm a bit of a Left 4 Dead addict. I've been a PC gamer for almost 27 years now, counting the countless hours I've spent banging away at my first Commodore 64, and I've concluded that Left 4 Dead is in my top three of all time belongs to the guilty pleasures . I can't even believe how much time I've spent fighting through levels in Impossible Mission on the C64. The first Unreal Tournament probably cost me my job back then. And now, whenever I can squeeze in a few minutes of carnage, I fire up Left 4 Dead. It's just the kind of mindless fun that gets me going. I don't have the attention span or time for an MMORPG and strategy games just don't do it for me. Also, the camaraderie that develops over a round of L4D can be great - I've played with soldiers stationed in Iraq, young kids skipping school, grumpy old bearded bikers, you name it. Cooperative multiplayer gaming is just the ticket. Wouldn't you agree? There's only one thin...

Acer Swift X SFX16-51G – 16-inch portable laptop, vs Swift X SFX14-41G

Earlier in the year, Acer released the Swift X series of mid-range portable laptops with powerful specs, and the 14-inch model (which I reviewed in this article) ended up being very popular in its class, as one of the best-value all-purpose laptops that you can get for around 1000-1100 USD/EUR. More recently Acer followed up on that compact variant with a full-size model, this time with a larger 16-inch display and built on Intel Core H35 + RTX 3050/3050Ti graphics running at higher power than in the 14-inch model. I got my hands on an early sample of this Swift X 16, code name SFX16-51G, and will share my findings with you down below. This sample runs on Windows 11 with unfinalized BIOS and software, so we’re not getting in-depth on the performance details at this point, but we’ll touch on everything else that you should account for when looking at this series, and hopefully upgrade with benchmarks later on. In just a few words, this is an incremental refine...

2019 Nissan Frontier Review

Hình ảnh
The Nissan Frontier is a small pickup that continues to win the hearts of buyers looking for an affordable and reliable pickup. Just before checking out the Million Mile Frontier at the Chicago Auto Show, I was able to spend a week in the 2019 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X to see what the hype was all about. There's no doubt that the Frontier needs some upgrades, but there are several key reasons why this little pickup still plays an important role in an increasingly competitive segment. Starting at under $20,000, the Frontier is reasonably priced. I spent the week in a 2019 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X Crew Cab with a V6 engine and an automatic transmission. It starts at $34,190 and comes with the $2,100 Premium package, which includes electric heated leather front seats, dual electric heated door mirrors, a power glass sunroof, a roof rack and a fold-down rear center armrest. Once you add floor mats and the destination, the total cost of my rental car is $37,440. [letsreview] Drive t...
