Over the years, I’ve greatly appreciated those ultrabooks that could run silently with daily use, with video streaming and text-editing and even browsing. Very few can, though, and most that can are actually fanless and passively-cooled implementations. I'm a bit of a Left 4 Dead addict. I've been a PC gamer for almost 27 years now, counting the countless hours I've spent banging away at my first Commodore 64, and I've concluded that Left 4 Dead is in my top three of all time belongs to the guilty pleasures . I can't even believe how much time I've spent fighting through levels in Impossible Mission on the C64. The first Unreal Tournament probably cost me my job back then. And now, whenever I can squeeze in a few minutes of carnage, I fire up Left 4 Dead. It's just the kind of mindless fun that gets me going. I don't have the attention span or time for an MMORPG and strategy games just don't do it for me. Also, the camaraderie that develops over a round of L4D can be great - I've played with soldiers stationed in Iraq, young kids skipping school, grumpy old bearded bikers, you name it.
