How to Clean Boot Windows 11

If something is not working properly on your PC, you can start troubleshooting by cleaning up Windows 11 by following the steps below.
Troubleshooting startup issues on a Windows 11 PC can be difficult. For example, you may experience general instability, a hardware issue, or games and apps not working. Whatever the problem, a good troubleshooting step is a clean boot.
Not to be confused with Safe Mode, a Windows Clean Boot Clean uses only the minimal startup apps and drivers needed to load the operating system. A clean boot offers more control over which services and apps are running than Safe Mode. This, in turn, will help you better identify what's causing the problem—and hopefully fix it.
Here's how to clean up Windows 11 so you can narrow down any problems you're having.
How to perform a clean boot of Windows 11
To perform a clean boot of Windows 11, do the following:
- press the beginning button or press the Windows key to bring up the start menu.
- type msconfig and select the best result.

- If that system configuration window appears, click on the Services tab above.

- Check the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox and click the Disable all Button.

- press the startup above and then click the tab Open Task Manager Shortcut.

- click on startup Tab at the top of Task Manager. Right-click and select each checked item Deactivate from the menu.

- When finished, exit Task Manager and then click Apply and OK in the system configuration window.
- Restart your PC to complete the process.

Windows 11 performs a clean boot. If you come back after the reboot and the problem is gone, you know where to start troubleshooting.
Whatever the cause of your problem, try it now to see if you can reproduce it. For example, maybe you couldn't install an app or driver because a conflict occurred.
Depending on the problem, troubleshooting can sometimes be tedious. For example, you may need to re-enable one app or service at a time to find out which one is causing the problem.
How to disable clean boot
Once you fix the problem, you can restore normal startup on Windows 11 by following these steps:
- open that beginning menu, type msconfig, and then select the top result.

- When system configuration opens, click the General tab, select Normal start, and click the Apply Button.

- press the Services tab, check the Hide all Microsoft services Then click on the check box Activate all Button.

- Choose startup tab and click on the Open Task Manager.
- When Task Manager starts up, enable the apps you want to run during startup. You don't have to enable all of them - disabling startup apps can often improve startup time.

- Exit Task Manager and click OK in the system configuration window.
- Restart your PC when prompted.

Troubleshooting Windows 11
The steps above will help you clean up the restart in Windows 11, but it's up to you to fix any underlying issues you're having. Once you've done this, your PC should be able to boot up normally with your regular apps, services, and drivers.
Booting Windows 11 clean gives you more control over troubleshooting hardware issues, whether your HDMI isn't working or your keyboard isn't working. You can see if an issue is due to third-party software or a built-in driver, service, or app.
