Best Phones in India:

Publisher's Note: We will update this list of the best phones in India as new models come out.

Samsung Galaxy S21 series

The Galaxy S21 series includes three phones: the S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra. All three are great options for those looking for a powerhouse, and all boast great performance and useful extras.
The main differences between the Galaxy S21 and the S21 Plus stem from the larger size of the latter. The S21 Plus comes with a larger display but with the same resolution and a bigger battery. The smaller Galaxy S21 also features a "glass-like" body, while the S21 Plus sticks with a glass back. Other than that, you get identical performance, the same camera setup, and extras like wireless charging and water resistance.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra takes things one step further. It comes with the largest display of the lot and with a QHD+ resolution. The quad-camera setup on the rear is better, too, and it also has a larger battery than its smaller siblings. A new addition is S Pen support, which is only available with the Ultra iteration.
If you're looking for the best of the best, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is for you. However, it is also significantly more expensive than the others. The Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus should be more than enough for most users, and you can save a decent chunk of money too.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

Xiaomi may have made a name for itself in the Indian market for its amazing affordable smartphones. Still, the company has some excellent offerings at the other end of the price spectrum as well. The Mi 11 Ultra is Xiaomi's latest flagship and one of the most expensive smartphones it has launched in the country and unsurprisingly it is one of the best phones you can get in India.
But it definitely deserves its high price. It's a true flagship with the latest processing package and features like wireless charging, water resistance, stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, support for Dolby Vision and reverse wireless charging. A 50MP primary shooter is flanked by 48MP ultra-wide and 48MP periscope cameras.
A 1.1-inch display alongside the rear cameras makes snapping selfies a breeze with the better cameras and acts as an always-on display for notifications. It also features 67W super-fast charging, which can fully charge the phone in just over half an hour.
Despite being an expensive device, Xiaomi's pricing strategy stays true to its form. Despite everything it offers, the Mi 11 Ultra is priced more favorably than the standard Galaxy S21.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra Specifications:

  • Display: 6.81 inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 888
  • R.A.M: 12GB
  • Warehouse: 256GB

OnePlus 9 series

OnePlus 9 Pro vs. OnePlus 9 – the best phones in India

Robert Triggs/Android Authority

OnePlus' smartphones have evolved from flagship killers to true flagships, and the OnePlus 9 series is a testament to that evolution. We can't complain about the high-end specs or features, but it comes with a price bump that makes the OnePlus 9 Pro the company's most expensive phone yet.
OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 are quite similar. You get the same processing power, battery, and ultra-fast 65W charging. The OnePlus 9 charges wirelessly at the standard 15W variant, while the Pro edition features fast 50W wireless charging. The OnePlus 9 Pro also has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, a feature the standard 9 misses.
Of course, we can't go into the company's latest devices without mentioning the Hasselblad cameras. They're the couple's biggest attraction and add quite a bit to the camera bump. Both devices offer powerful 50MP and 48MP main shooters, while only the OnePlus 9 Pro has an 8MP telephoto lens. The new partnership ensures that OnePlus' cameras have gone from problematic to one of its biggest selling points.

The 9 and 9 Pro are also joined by the India-exclusive OnePlus 9R. As the high-end models keep getting more expensive, the OnePlus 9R is a budget flagship. The spec sheet is solid, with the Snapdragon 870 powering the device. In many ways, the 9R is an upgraded OnePlus 8T and a great alternative to the standard 9 if you're looking to save some cash.

Asus ROG Phone 5

Of course, it wouldn't be a good phone to play with if the battery ran out of juice quickly. Asus has you covered in that regard too, as the ROG Phone 5 packs a massive 6,000mAh battery. The ROG Phone 5 also offers air triggers that act as shoulder buttons, as well as a triple camera setup that's a solid improvement over last year's model. It's not even as expensive as one might expect given what the phone has to offer.

  • Display: 6.78 inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 888
  • R.A.M: 8/12GB
  • Warehouse: 128/256GB

Xiaomi Mi 11X series

Mi 11X with back panel - best phones in India

Dhruv Bhutani / Android Authority

The India-exclusive Mi 11X series, consisting of the Mi 11X Pro and the standard Mi 11X, is almost a copy of the Redmi K40 line, which has not been launched in the country. Both phones in the Mi 11X series also feature the same display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the same battery capacity and fast charging capability, and an IP53 rating for water resistance. The biggest differences become apparent when we look at what's under the hood. The Mi 11X Pro gets a Snapdragon 888 and a 108MP primary shooter, while the Mi 11X gets the Snapdragon 870 and a 48MP primary camera.
The Mi 11X pro and Mi 11X are to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra what the OnePlus 9 and 9R are to the 9 Pro. These are fantastic, affordable alternatives to the true flagships of the series, while still offering plenty of high-end specs and features that make it worth buying.
  • Display: 6.67 inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 888
  • R.A.M: 8GB
  • Warehouse: 128/256GB

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra screams premium and remains one of the best phones out there right now, even with the launch of the newer S21 series. The 120Hz display is beautiful to look at and Samsung has gone to great lengths when it comes to the camera setup, including a 108MP primary camera paired with a 12MP periscope lens.

Meanwhile, the company promises software updates for three years, which is an excellent value proposition for anyone looking to buy a new phone. Samsung charges a premium for the phone, but the feature set here is exemplary. From the S Pen stylus to the Wireless Dex and the luxurious all-aluminum build quality, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is still an excellent buy.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Specifications:

  • Display: 6.9 inch Quad HD+
  • SoC: Exynos 990
  • R.A.M: 12GB
  • Warehouse: 128/256/512GB
  • cameras: 108, 12 and 12MP
  • Front camera: 10MP

Realme GT Review mission statement placed on a pocket

Dhruv Bhutani / Android Authority

Realme continues to offer devices in all price ranges, so it's not surprising that the company also has a new addition to our list of the best phones you can get in India. The latest addition to the company's flagship portfolio is the Realme GT, and the phone fails to impress.

The Realme GT immediately catches the eye with its design, and the hardware will catch consumers' interest. The Snapdragon 888 offers excellent performance, backed by up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The cameras impress, but the standout feature is the 65W super-fast charging, which can fully charge the phone in around 30 minutes. And Realme stacks the flagship features with a 120Hz refresh rate display.

Considering the Realme GT is cheaper to start with than most of the phones on this list, it's no wonder Realme is doing as well as it is in this highly competitive and price-sensitive market.

  • Display: 6.43 inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 888
  • R.A.M: 8/12GB
  • Warehouse: 128/256GB
  • cameras: 64, 8 and 2MP
  • Front Cameras: 16MP
  • Battery: 4,500mAh
  • Software: Android 11
