The best MagSafe adapters for your Android phone

Rita El Khoury / Android Authority
Apple reintroduced its MagSafe technology along with the iPhone 12 series, though not to be confused with MagSafe MacBook chargers. Magnetic technology allows you to attach wireless chargers and other accessories directly to the back of your phone. Accessory makers have been quick to jump on the MagSafe bandwagon, but where are Android owners? Fear not because here are some of the best Android MagSafe adapters you can buy.

While our tips aren't quite as seamless as Apple's built-in MagSafe magnets on devices like the iPhone 13 line, they should. If you're still not sure if MagSafe accessories are needed, let's cover some of the other benefits before we get to the list.
What do MagSafe adapters do?

It's easy to think of MagSafe as another way to add accessories to your phone. You can add wallets or handles without glue, but that's just the start. MagSafe also lets you attach wireless chargers to the back of your phone so you can keep browsing while it charges.

Certain MagSafe accessories also come with an embedded NFC chip to communicate with your device. However, this will have a bigger impact on iPhones, so don't expect the same level of functionality on Android. Also remember that some of our picks are simple magnetic rings. This means there is no alignment nub to keep the accessory in place. If you attach a heavy wallet or grip, it can rotate with the weight of your phone.
Another benefit for iPhone users is wireless charging at 15W speed. Apple's latest devices typically charge wirelessly at speeds of 7.5W, so the addition of MagSafe doubles your rate. This is unlikely to impact Android devices in the same way, but it's a benefit to watch out for.
While we mention first-party accessories for most of these Android MagSafe adapters, you can easily mix and match. That means you can use Moment's (M)Force case with Anker's charging pads, or swap them out for a different combination - including Apple's own accessories.

Moment (M) case of force

The Moment (M)Force case is a photographer's MagSafe adapter dream. It's the only one on this list that isn't a magnetic ring, but rather a slim body that's compatible with all of Moment's lenses. Moment boasts that its case can handle drops from six feet thanks to the combination of polycarbonate and TPU.
Currently, the (M)Force case is available for the Google Pixel 6 series and Samsung Galaxy S21 series, and Moment offers compatible tripod and car mounts.
Mophie Snap

The Mophie Snap is a much simpler option when it comes to MagSafe adapters - it's our first magnetic ring option. It adds compatibility for Mophie's Snap and Snap Plus accessories, including an external Juice Pack battery and wireless charging dock. The snap ring features specially placed magnets to keep your accessories aligned, and Mophie's adapter comes in a twin pack for added flexibility.
ESR HaloLock

ESR's HaloLock adapter also comes in a two-pack, although it's a bit more specific with its compatibility. You can attach it to TPU or polycarbonate cases as long as they are less than 4mm thick and don't have a fingerprint-resistant coating. Unfortunately, that's a lot easier said than done these days. The HaloLock MagSafe Android adapter also comes with a clever alignment tool to ensure you get the perfect fit. It's also not a complete circle, meaning your accessory can't rotate.
Magnetic Satechi Sticker

The Satechi MagSafe Sticker Adapter is one of the more stylish options on our list - it skips the basic magnetic ring in favor of a leather coin design. After all, most magnetic rings don't exactly look attractive. Satechi's sticker is just as easy to use, and right now the only first-party accessory that goes with it is the magnetic wireless charging cable. The sticker is made of so-called eco-leather, which means that no animals were harmed in the production of this accessory.
MOFT snap sticker

MOFT's MagSafe Sticker Adapter is your gateway to a range of collapsible phone stands and wallets. This may not sound exciting or new, but all of MOFT's designs lie flat on the back of your phone and then fold like origami. The sticker itself is a magnetic disk emblazoned with MOFT, but the magnetic stand comes in eight different colors and can be adjusted vertically or horizontally.
Anchor 310 magnetic ring

If a new accessory comes out and Anker doesn't support it, does it really exist? We may never know, as the 310 Magnetic Ring arrived right on MagSafe's heels. It comes with alignment cards for a perfect fit on the iPhone 12 or 13, but will work with any case that is around 2mm thick. This means that if you have an Otterbox case, you should look elsewhere.
Nillkin SnapLink

Many accessory makers offer colorful phone cases, but what if you want to skip the case? Nillkin is one of the few to offer colorful MagSafe sticker options as part of its SnapLink system. There are four colors to choose from – black, blue, green and purple. Nillkin's design is similar to the Satechi sticker, with a layer of PU leather on top, and it relies on six magnets to hold the accessory in place. It's also sticky enough for TPU cases, phones themselves, and shiny glass surfaces.
Oh snap ring kit

The final MagSafe Android adapter on our list is part of the OhSnap 2.0 ecosystem. All OhSnap accessories now support MagSafe, with car mounts, table stands and even wall mounts to choose from. The Snapcharge 2.0 charging pad will probably be your most popular accessory, but you'll need a ring kit first. Each kit comes with two metal rings, although there's no mention of how many magnets are inside. We don't know how well your accessories snap into place, but the ring kit is among the most affordable on the list.
